Answer by Radhanath Swami: This is a very philosophical question! In Sanskrit, the word sweet is called ‘madhuram.’ So if I really think about this question, I would say, my favorite sweet is the Hare Krishna Mantra,

Question to Radhanath Swami : Spirituality India is way ahead as a religious country, but how can we understand the disparity that we see here?
Radhanath Swami Answers : India was subjugated by the foreign Moghul Powers for about 700 years, then by the British powers for about 200 years. It just got its independence around 70 years ago, on August 15, 1947.

Radhanath Swami Answers: I don’t see that it is religion that is causing the hatred, discrimination, and terrorism. It is just a very infatuated ego working in the name of religion, in the name of nationalism, etc.

Some people want to change this, but they feel that one individual is so small and the impact that one individual can bring to the world is so small. Thinking like this they end up doing nothing. Radhanath Swami Answers: That takes a little education, but in principle, according to our traditions, a true guru is not one who claims to be God. A true guru is one who claims to be a humble messenger of God.
