Question o Radhanath Swami: I am married and have a family with certain responsibilities. Recently, I took up the spiritual practice of Bhakti Yoga and heard about ‘detachment’ as on of the principles. With so many responsibilities how can I practice this principle?

 

Radhanath Swami Answers: We have to understand from Bhagavad-Gita, what does it mean to be detached? To be detached means that you are attached to the service but you are detached from the results of the service for your personal enjoyment. Arjuna was a warrior and his duty was to fight. Dance! Dance! Dance! Some lessons on dancing from Radhanath Swami.

Question to Radhanath Swami : I find it difficult to believe that chanting is the simplest process to refine our senses, detach ourselves from the bodily concept and identify with the soul. Rather, this chanting and dancing appears childish to me. Is this really the way to be relieved of our problems?

 

Radhanath Swami Answer: Lord Jesus said, “Until you become like a child, you do not fit to enter into the kingdom of god.”
