“Is my chanting fake?” Radhanath Swami Answers

Question to Radhanath Swami: What happens to those who chant without understanding the holy name? Is their chanting fake?
Radhanath Swami Answers: The holy name is like fire! If a little baby, who doesn’t know anything about fire touches fire, what happens? And if the chief fire marshal of Mumbai touches fire, what happens? Same thing (smiling); they both get burnt because fire burns.

Does God need our service?

Question to Radhanath Swami: We render devotional service unto Krishna. But does he need our services?

How to love everybody? Radhanath Swami gives the sutra

Question to Radhanath Swami: I heard somewhere that without loving all the living beings we cannot love God. So I just wanted to know, what is the best possible way in which I can love and serve all the living beings?

Confused? Radhanath Swami says it could be a blessing in disguise

Question to Radhanath Swami-  Swamiji, I guess we are all made for a purpose. But if we are at a confused state of life, how would we really know what our purpose in life is?

Answer by Radhanath Swami- Confusion is a blessing. Because when we are confused, it shakes us from our complacency, and we start asking the questions that you are asking today. And this is the basis of the Bhagavad Gita…

Where is God? Where is he not…?

Question to Radhanath Swami: I read about something called God particle, consciousness and its relations to quantum physics but couldn’t understand much. Will science help me to understand God better?

Radhanath Swami Answers: Let’s take an example. Thoughts, we can’t see them, touch them, hear them, taste them or see them, yet they are so powerful. Depression is based on thoughts, elation is based on thoughts. Love, we can see the manifestation of it but we can’t see love; love is an emotion. Similarly, we can see the symptom of consciousness in the form of life.
